My heater broke last night and the tank temp dropped to 65 degrees. I have another heater. How fast should I raise the tank temp? Oh, the tank is 75 gallon. . .

TIA,

Get the new heater in there and just let it heat it up.

Slow as you can would be the best.

No need to go slowly. Just bring it up to your previous minimum temperature and then you're good to go.

My tank temp dropped down to 67.8 last night as well, just set the heater around 80 and let it do it's thing, it wont rise the temp so fast that it would hurt anything, I have my mom watchin it today as I'm working for 12hr. so far everything and looks normal.

Thanks all, I just put the heater in the sump. Set it at 78 so I will be watching the temp all day.

Thanks again,

Your tank will not rise fast enough to hurt your tank.

will the temp dropping to around 65 have any effect on hardy fish? I just realized mine was broken and have to wait till morning to get a new one :/
