Hey guys,

I've been toying with the idea is a 8' long sallow tank. Could I get away with 1/4" if the tank was 8'x1'x1'? Should the bottom be thicker? Thanks all!

I would think with enough euro bracing you could get away with it, but you will still have signifigant bowing on the outter walls. 3/8 would be better. The thickness of the vertical walls is all determined by the height, not by actual water volume.

I expected to have some braces front to back also. Every 24" or so. Could I manage a 2" euro with 2-3" braces front to back?

I wouldn't go less than 3/8" with the 55-60g capacity. You definitely will need bracing.
