Can you keep Banner fish in a reef tank? I am thinking of keeping two of them in a 80b with soft corals,BTA, Mated clowns, Mandrin, and small gobbie. Can I?

If you like your corals, and don't want to risk them- don't keep a butterflyfish. That's not a guarantee they'll get nipped/eaten, but rather a possibility.

It's all a gamble. ;)

There is a species of heniochus (diphreutes - not sure of the spelling) that is supposed to be "reef safe," but they are easily confused with their more common cousin the H. acuminatus which is NOT reef safe.

think the 80's a bit tight...

80 is tight for one or two?

They grow very large. So unless you plan on upgrading to much larger tank in the future, I would skip them.

i believe they do best in small aggregations... so it just wouldnt work out all that well for you right now....
