Can anyone give me any ideas what might be wrong with my chalice? Too much light? Not enough? Its the only one not doing to hot.

It was a red and blue color. The person I bought it from no longer has their colony. He told me he lost it. I know he kept his corals under LEDs. I have it partially under a overhang in the lower 1/3 of the tank. I run a single 250w mh with a 20k Ushio bulb. My tank is about 18 or 20 inches deep.

Thanks. I'll try to shade it more and feed it.

Will it still feed?

I've gotten some PMs about this post so I will update. I initially moved it to my frag rack. But it continued to lose what little color it had left in its tissue. I just recently moved it to the sand bed where its shaded even more. The tissue has gotten puffier (is that a word?) since my first post. I see feeder tentacles every now and then. But between my 2 cleaner shrimp and 6 line wrasse its hard to keep food in its mouth. I may cut a Gatorade bottle top and place over it.

And my temp stays about 75/76 and raises to 78 when my MH is on.

usually I would put under the shade and let it sit there. no feeding and it seem to get better and most of time I was able to get the color back.

Too much light. You have to be careful with chalices. I have burned a few myself.

Get rid of those cleaner shrimp, no good for lps if you want to feed.
