I have a bunch of the 7 and 10 Pinpoint Calibration packets and was wondering how long they will stay good inside the unopened packets.

I have some PH 10 that have a date stamped in the top of the package that read 4/30/2006 but the PH 7 packets dont have a date at all.

Unopened, my Oakton packets were good for a year or so, if my memory is correct. It might have been longer.

So you think my PH 10 packs that I just bought this year that are stamped 4/30/2006 are no good?

Wonder why the PH 7 doesnt have a date on them?

I would pitch the pH 10 packets. I'm not sure about the pH 7 packets.

It would be interesting to buy some fresh calibrating fluid and once your pH meter is calibrated, test these older calibrating fluids that have not been opened and see what results you get.

I will do just that.

I am not real happy about the 4/30/2006 date on the ones I have now. I just bought them online about 6 or 7 months ago. I didnt even notice the date until a couple days ago. At the time I bought PH 7 and PH 10 and the 7 does not have a date on it anywhere. So who know how old they are. Would there be anyway to tell? Maybe from the Lot Code?

Once I get some new packets I will post my findings.
