I have a crocea clam that has a nassarius snail in it and the clam will not open wide enough for the snail to get out.
Does anyone have any suggesting for getting the snail out.

time.
the nass crawled or fell in, clam shut and it must still be irritating the crocea. i really doubt there's a reliable way to get a clam to open wide. plenty to get it to shut tight, though.

Wait it out. The clam might be digesting the snail.

clams can't eat snails.

are you sure he's a nassarius and not a whelk??

just wait it out, hopefully the snail will leave on his own, through the byssal opening and back into the sand.

Nass could be leaning out dead tissue. This happened to mine, once the tissue was out the snails left him alone
