1 drip per second is how many gallons per hour?
Thanks

Depends on the drip factor of the tubing. How big is a drop? (what kind of tubing? airline?)

20 drops per cc, 3700cc/gallon 3600sec/hr

so you want drip/sec->gal/hr

(1drip/sec)(3600sec/hr)(1cc/20drips)(1gal/3700cc)..units cancel, so yeah.. so just eyeballing that mess and cancelling the 3600/3700, it looks like ~1/20th of a gallon per hr @ 1 drop /sec

120 drops = 5mL
1 gallon = 3785 mL

1 drop per second = 150mL per hour = about .04 gallons per hour

"20 drops per cc" - I think that this is not constant as lordofthereef mentioned and depends on both the diameter of the tubing and how hydrophobic the tubing material is.

I'm using standard airline tubing.
thanks

1 cc = 15 macrodrops, this is the standard.
If you have 1 drop/sec=60 drops/min=4ml/min=240 ml/hr.
But the best way to determine is to get a graduated cylinder (if you got one handy, or you can use any graduated container) and drip for 15 minutes and multiply by 4.

75,000 drops per gallon. 1 drip per second is 3600 drops per hour or 3600/75,000 x 16 cups per gallon so about 3/4 of a cup per hour.
