Tang Question

I have a question for everyone with tang experience. Will my sailfin and yellow tang go crazy for a about 3 weeks in the 65g hex so i can take down the temp tank and make room for the new setup?

How big are the yellow and sailfin???

If they are less than 5 or 6 inches each I would be comfortable with it for a few weeks.

They're no more than 4 inches each. I've the yellow for about 7 years and he just refuses to grow past about 4 inches.

Hard to say. Two Zebrasomma are likely to fight.

they will probably be fine for a short time. But then you never really know. Sorry I am of no help.

They've lived together for at least 6 months and fighting hasn't been an issue they actually hang out together.

Yes but tangs are unpredictable and the smaller space could increase aggression, i would cautiously do it and observe.

you could take your chances. giving them less space coudl certainly cause aggression. if you have no other option then youll have to try and it monitor it

If they have been together for 6 mos. they may be ok. I'd be sure to inlclude some hiding/rest areas in the temporary tank.
