Coral QT tank

So I was going to set up a 90G or 120G QT tank. Very basic setup with MHs and base rock etc... I have a question in reference to Interceptor. If I dose it and leave it in the tank would that cause any issues? I would perform water changes when needed but I wasn't sure if anyone has tried this before. Don't care about pods. Your thoughts are appreciated.

It wouldn't hurt the corals any by leaving it in there. You said it is QT tank but if you had any hermit crabs or shrimp depending on how heavy you dosed it would kill them.

Yep. :) I plan on isolation of corals to not infect my main prop tanks. :)

Yea, it is a good idea. I learned the hard way. I introduced red bugs into my system and had to treat my display tank. I didn't have a real bad infestation as far as I could tell. I only treated the system once instead of the recommended three and did a series of water changes afterward. I lost some hermit crabs, most copepods and mysiids. So I now quarantine any new corals I add to my system.

Understood! My question was:

If I dip new corals and then put them in my 90G stand alone QT for a month or two that contains interceptor do I have any concerns for leaving the water "contaminated" with it? i. e. no carbon/pods. I am thinking a purp tang and a few snails only with little to no food. Do you guys think this could cause unforseen issues?

leaving interceptor is fine, i never change the water until a week later.
