How hot do MH reflectors get?

How hot do MH reflectors get? Any concerns on mounting them to top of canopy? maybe just use some washers or some form of spacer? I have a sheet of 1/8" aluminum that I can mount to top of canopy and mount the reflectors to that if there is a problem with heat on the wood.

BTW they are 175 Watt

I ran MH lighting on wood for years with no problems. They were 400w bulbs. I wouldn't wory too much about it.

+1 on that. as lomg as you got the reflectors on you should be just fine. i have dealt with MH's in the electrical field for a long time and i have seen them mounted on other things many different ways.
