Hello, just glued some return piping back to my tank. Whats the time line do I need to wait before i restart the system?

I usually wait no longer than a hour.

If its the 2 step pvc pipe cement/glue it should only take a few minutes to dry, just make sure to rinse it before you fire up your set up.

****YOu can also read the instructions on it, it can vary depending on what you used****

make sure that you are in a well ventilated room that stuff will give you a headache but typically it dries really fast.

its been about 1.5 hrs i have it sitting in my bath tub, im sure its dry. Just a little nervous about putting anything back in my 265 reef. So its ok to put back in my tank

Is this the typical primer/glue combo? if so that should be long enough. Just make sure to rinse out.

I have turned my systems back on immediately after modifications with no rinsing and haven't had any issues. I think you will be fine if it has been over an hour.

I just hard plumbed my skimmer the other day. I rinsed all the pieces after glueing and used them pretty much right away. I had no negative affects. I would say maybe a half hour went by from glueing to me turning the pumps back on. Defintely wasn't more than an hour. Just make sure you rinse everything well.

I have introduced "freshly glued" pvc to a system 10 minutes after gluing. No issues at all.
