I just bought a Yellow Tang to pick at some of the algae in my tank, never expecting it to eat this bryopsis that I have been battling. But it did!! It can't get it all because the bryopsis is rooted beneath a birdsnest coral. But it picks at it pretty good.

I battled bryopsis for a while and now have zero traces of it, I used the method of raising magnesium to 1600+ for a couple weeks and it worked well.

Note that only Kent Tech-M magnesium worked, Raised slowly over 5 days and kept mine at 1700+, no real harm done, but some of my LPS/zoos/palys got bleached, but my sps were fine..

My tomini tang and vlamingi also eat bryopsis. LFS didn't believe me until I recorded them eating it and showed them. Algae blenny won't touch the stuff though. Go figure.

That's just a great find. I saw one Regal Tang eat it before.

I have had yellows that were great cleaners and some barely pick.
