Hey guys, just got back from Westport Aquarium, they are having a 50 percent off everything in the store today and tomorrow.

I picked up some nice ORA frags at some really great prices. They still had Purple Plasma, Red Planet, Plum Crazy, pink pocillipora, aussie delicate and some others.

That is a good heads up. 50% off is a sweet deal.

Wow! Some good deals. Granted, their prices are high. But at 50% off lots of stuff were WAY less than on-line (plus shipping) prices.

Walked away with a good bit of frozen food and some new critters. :)

Steve,
was the frozen food on sale too? I need to stock up on some more trays of the ocean nutrion stuff, if that is on sale too, Im going to stop by tomorrow for sure.

Aargh... I am out of town :sad2:
You guys are lucky. I was there 10 days ago but they didn't tell me anything about the sale and I ended up just buying a $20 frag as everything else was pretty expensive.

Did anybody ask if they would like to host an ARK meeting?

Sorry. Didn't think of that...

That is a great question. Totally didnt think of it, I guess I was too preoccupied with swallowing the price of the frozen food -- one of the 7oz trays of ocean nutrion brands is $16. Now I remember why I usually just buy frozen food in bulk once or twice a year when shipping is discounted (i.e the same stuff is $6 or $7 online, but you have to order enough to make the shipping worthwhile, so wait for a shipping 'sale'). One of these days Im going to follow-through and make my own food in the blender like eric borneman does.

I'll ask Westport if they'll host a meeting. It should be a win win for us and them.
Seth, i've been making my own food for years! $10 worth of the receipe and you have food for many months. Fish and corals love it.

That could be a great thing to talk about at the next meeting.
I would be happy to know what Neil's recipe is and if other people use different food. What is best for fish or coral? Do you need to add supplements?...

Oops!
I wrote that before to read Jeff's message.
Make your own food will be the subject of the next meeting :)
