I have the maxijet on it right now.
What will upgrading the pump do? will i get more skimming?
I either wanna do a mag3 or do the mod to the MJ1200. but dunno what the added benifit would be to upgrading it.

In my experience, this skimmer needs at least a Mag-3 to perform well on a regular basis. Keeping the neck/cup clean helps too. :)

think the sureflow mod the the MJ1200 would be good i mean thats close to 1200GPH where the MAG3 is about 350

I don't think you could use the mod to the 1200 for use on the skimmer. Use the Mag 3 and keep the neck and cup clean for best results.

I'm pretty sure the MJ1200 is liters/hour= about 315GPH. I have a 475 GPH pump on my Remora and it works awesome.

I opted for the Mag3 upgrade on my RemoraPro when I bought it initially. It's been performing great for many years and keeps chugging even when I neglect to clean the filter sponge.
