New to the site, but plan on going to frag swap.Have a reef tank that is set up for about 8 months. With a few fish, one brain coral, some mushrooms, and a few others. Can anyone tell me what else is a easy keeper. Have a 55 gal. with T5 lights.

I don't know what kind of filtration you've got, but if you want to try a foray into SPS, good starters there are pink or green bird's nest and Evil Mel's Green Mille. None of those require HUGE amounts of light like a lot of SPS and are more tolerant of slightly off water conditions. I've kept all three of these in my tank even years later because they keep their color well, grow fast, and I can still sleep easy at night.
If you're looking for other LPS I might recommend Duncs. They've come down in price quite a bit, are nice looking, and are relatively easy IMO. There's always frogspawn. Been some pink and green floating around the club that is real hearty. A lot of LPS are fairly slow growers, but frogspawn puts on size pretty quick.
I've never found zoas to be easy to keep but a lot of other people have a lot of success with them. My only recommendation here is to talk to find ones you like and then talk to people about their growth. Some zoas seem to never grow much and others can actually become more of a pest than anything.

Thanks for the info. will write down the names and go on a hunt. Any idea on what they will cost? Alot of times have more money than common sense.

I agree with what Brian has said. I have kept all in my tanks except the duncan. all can be had pretty cheap $10 to $20 or so. I plan to have most of the above available. check out my thread.
that said, what wattage is your t5? how much circulation do you have? the SPS (millipora and birdsnest) like a good ammt of flow. not direct but a good current across them.
When I went to my first swap 4 years ago, i seeded my tank for about $100. you can go wild if you are not careful. nowdays, I have to limit myself to only a couple of particlar ones and that is ONLY if I sell enough to make space!
