Beautiful pics  Especially considering that I leave for Cozumel on the 28th for a week of diving :inlove: First time to Cozumel for me but not the last, I'm sure.

I did shore dives from the Coral Princess north of town and lots of boat diving. My favourite site was Palancar Caves and then Palancar Gardens. The formations were huge and carpeted with all kinds of gorgeous coral.
Yousmell - The eagle rays should be around when you're there so hopefully you'll see some.

palancar was my favorite as well but i was there in 2004 before the hurricane. it was amazing and at the bottom of pa;ancar reef i saw seahorse and pipefish. i just got back from cancun and the weather was on the cool side but nothing like here in chicago =( wish i can go back

This was my first trip to Coz (not my last for sure) but the divers I talked to all mentioned that the shallow reefs were affected but not the deeper sites as much, like Palancar.
I did note in some areas it looked like a small bull dozer had been through the area, with coral flattened and discarded on the sea bed right next to huge formations that were pristine.

Yeah it's wild looking, it's a Splendid Toadfish indigenous to Cozumel, Mexico. It hangs out under ledges so I was really happy and lucky to get a pic of it.
