I got stung by Bristleworm What to do?

Well I was moving some live rock and got swiped by a brislte worm on the top of my thumb and inside of my index finger sorry no pics of the spines in my hand I pulled them out already didn't think of it.


I did not even fell any pain when I did this I just kept moving the rock around I saw my finger ''had a cut on it like it got scraped by a rock did not think much of it":( Then when I go to the prop tank to arrange stuff I am in better lighting and see all tese bristles in my hand so I plucked them out. I used alcohol to clean it not sure what to do next? My hand is fine never had any pain no numbness and no swelling. Any ideas?

Soak it in vinegar to dissolve the spines.

Ok just checking because all the things I read said there would be swelling and numbness and PAIN but never felt any of that.

some folks are considerably more sensitive to bristleworms, and some worms pack much more punch than others. if you have no redness, swelling, or pain, I wouldnt worry about it.

man, when i get stung my hands start to itch like crazy. once i played with a sea sponge, that was a terrible idea, turns out im allergic to them

I usually just soak my finger in lemon juice. I prefer that scent to vinegar any day. It's the acidity that dissolves the spines.
