OK so I'm thinking of seriously upgrading skimmers on my 125 sps tank.

RIGHT NOW I have a EuroReef CS6-2+ (skims fine, but is pretty maxed out at this volume I think)

I AM CONSIDERING

Bubble King Mini 200 (the mini because of limited room)

How much of a "bump" in skimming will I see if I go with the BK200?

lol....a vertex in180 over a bk mini 200??? :lmao:

and no, royal exclusive does not make vertex skimmers, they make the cone skimmers, and the cone skimmers only.

regular vertex skimmer bodies are made by honya shenizen, and they come equipped with crappy resun pumps, probably the cheapest POS pump there is.

If you get the BK mini 200, it will have at least double the power as the ER cs 6-2, if not 3 times more power...lol

Well I have seen BK's in action and, honestly, they are one of the best skimmers on the market. Expensive yes, but very very good.

not to knock a vertex, but BK is a beat of a skimmer... very top tier

I just don't have 1st hand exp with them at all.

A skimmer is all about the pump, and the BK & Vertex ALPHA's use the very best. You should be very happy with the BK, especially if replacing a Euro Reef. Red Dragon pumps are virtually maintenance free, run completely silent, and are cool to the touch even when used externally.
