Will this power supply work to power a solenoid that requires a 24vdc power source @ 10 watts?

I would really like to find an AC/DC converter like this that has the box in the middle of the line and doesn't junk up my outlet with the big box plugging in directly to the power source. Anybody know any good places to look?

Thanks,
Andy

That power supply claims to be 24VDC at .5A which would give you 12 watts.
IMO that is cutting it close. In addition to manufacturers claims not always being up to specs, especially with "wall-warts", a voltage drop will change the current proportionately. If the solenoid will be energized for brief periods you might get by.
As far as finding a power supply that takes less space at the receptacle, you can use an extension cord.

Thanks for the replies and links guys! I wanted to be sure I was understanding what I was reading on the specifications for this product. I will go with the model that is higher amperage, or I just might use that link Stu.
