How do you acclimated anemones to your aquarium lights. Also do you have to acclimated everything to your lights??

I wanted to ask the same question.

I have always used layers of window screening.

I start off with 3 layers (( supported by egg create )) and remove a layer every 5-7 days. Never had any ill effects with existing corals/anemones in the tanks while doing this.

This is what I am talking about (( ignore the oversized light, hadn't gotten my new light when this picture was taken --- same wattage, just a smaller fixture ))

While I still want to take pictures of this over the tank, the following pictures should give an idea of how much it will block.

And this is a picture of just the egg create --- this was for my 33 cube, the cut outs in back were for the overflow and return pipes.

Sure thing.

In the lighting department of a Lowe's or Home Depot (( or anything similar )). Odds are good that it will be called light diffuser.

I put them low and allow them to seek their own level. Some people seem to have success in raising their lights or putting a screen like "egg crate" lighting grid or window screen over the tank.

Most of my experience is with E. quads. In their case, they pretty much regulate light and flow themselves by moving and/or hiding. I don't think my method is optimal for species that are particular about where they live. Sand dwellers (haddoni and gigantea) and top dwellers (H. mag) will probably benefit more from screens or raising the lights.

My local HD keeps egg crate in the building materials section for some reason??? So, if you don't find it in lighting, you might look there.
