My tank is going to %$#&. I've been so busy with work and a side business that I really don't have the time for it. I've lost most of my hard corals and bubble algae has replaced them. My clams and fish are fat and happy though. I was thinking about a complete reboot. Cooking the rock and starting over. The problem is will I have the time to do that and then maintain it.
I've been kicking around ditching everything and starting over with a solana cube. Getting a pair of wild clowns and a nice RBT. I don't know.
Common gang re-inspire me.

Don't give up!!!
You had such a cool set up and a beautiful basement when I came out.
Plus giving up is for losers.
If you want corals to refill what you lost give me your address and I will send you what I have. You helped me out with some corals a while ago so I can pay you back.

I was working in Houston for 14 months and was able to keep everything running pretty well till a crash happened. Automation is key. Make everything as easy to do and automate as much as possible so you dont have to spend all your free time working on the tank.

I have everything automated. Alk, CA, top off, heating, cooling, lighting. I guess I need to get it together and make the time.

For me, a good tank cleaning and some TLC to the tank really gets the juices flowing again. Also, a trip to a buddies house that has a tank, or an afternoon of hitting up the LFS's could really make an impact. Check out AT if you havent in a while. He's got some nice corals in there now. Also, buying a new coral always gets my butt in gear. Just some ideas.

Ya know that just might do it. I have a 3 day weekend coming up and I just finished a 16 hour day so maybe I'll get off my dead @ss do just that.

Goto seascape studio. Seeing there store and all the nice stuff they have made me want to get my tank in top shape so I could keep some of the SPS's. Esp. the hawkins blue echinata. I remember your 55. It was nice. i bought a frogspawn and a PSP rock from you a long time ago.

Sounds like your time is limited, so something small and easy like the RBTA/clown tank might be the way to go.

I still have that piece of macrothalma you gave and you are welcome to have it back. It hasn't grown a whole lot. I don't auto dose and don't really test enough to keep up with SPS. Its surviving, but I'm sure it would be better off back in the hands of a pro. Still have that rock full of sun polyps for ya too. Sorry I haven't got it to you sooner, but I am back in school time seems to be sparse with me too.
