Quick and easy, what ph are you setting your controller maximum at running Gen-X reactor media?

That may vary some / system but generally not above 6.8

By maximum do you mean how low can you go?

I've done 6.2 with large media, but it can clog the needle valve on the effluent more easily.

Okay, that was what I was looking for. It runs much like ARM in that you get below 6.7-6.8 and you start having particulate and clog issues it seems. I am trying to run NEO Mag in my Ca reactor with ARM media. I have to run the arm at 6.8-6.9 to keep from over dosing my tank with alk and to keep the media from turning to mush. I was looking at GENX as an alternative that perhaps could be run a little more acidic so that I would get greater dissolution of the NEO MAg media that to date, has done little for my mg levels. I attribute that to not running acidic enough to dissolve the NeoMag.

I run Gen-x @ 6.7 with a bubble count of 30 bpm and a drip rate of around 40. My ca is around ~400 and my alk is 7.5
