Hello every one i have a leather that i have been thinking about deviding but im new to actualy cutting into a living coral heres a pic

as you can see it kinda has 2 stems and i want so split it in the middle is it ok to do this thx for the advice

To me it looks like it is splitting nicely on its own. I would imagine cutting it will give it more risk of infection than splitting on it's own.

Looks like a toadstool, you can pretty much chop and slice to your hearts desire, I chop mine all the time when they get too large. Just do it outside of the tank as they slime up.

hmmm i think ill just cut it. the rock the other sem is on is putting a bit of strain on the main one

looks like an umbrella leather and cut away. I have one similar and I cut it when ever it gets to big.

whats a good material to get the leather to attach to?? im not near a fish store (closest ones a hour and a half away) i might have a tad of live rock that i can cut up but any other suggestions?

so i did it i got a piece of flatter live rock and broke it i cut it in 5 pieces the main spot to the left has a third stem going so it made it a little easyer. my mom freaked until the polyps came out in a few hours which is a good sign, right?
