I worked at a LFS for years and we carried magnifying glasses. I sold one with almost every reef setup that went out the door. I have a huge 6 inch one under the stand at home I use every day!

I use mine so much it sits right next to the tank on my ato cabinet. Everyone thats seriously interested in my tank will grab it and take a closer look. I also have a very powerful eye peice thingy my son had in a really high end chemistry set. Its great for looking at stuff on the glass like pods or snails or coral polyps within an inch.
