Not necessarily. My ph's spit out a new baby every 1-2 weeks. The price tag comes from the high demand vs zero wild supply.

Your Killen me man!!!!!!! I just got back into reefing after a year or so hiatus due to my wife getting sick. I had a 90 mixed reef SPS, LPS dominated and some softies but not many zoas and polys. This time around I’m looking to have a very select few SPS, LPS and softies. This tank will be zoa, poly dominated. I have a good start but man what a collection of beautiful zoas and polyes you and most here have. I’ll get there I guess someday.

Thanks Dave, it does take patience as well as good husbandry skills. Always inspect and dip your corals. Also play close attention to polyps when they close for long periods of time, find out why and address the issue.

Oh boy......just poking a little fun at one of my closest comrades. I actually scaped this tank and bank nearly half of the z's and p's in this tank. Pete and I live about 5 minutes from each other and share frags regularly.

Nikon d60 with a 90 mm lens . Just practice a lot especially on other reefers systems with different types of lighting . I enjoy bringing out the detail in every coral I shoot

I posted with my very first coral ever in another thread. I just got my new light system 2 weeks ago and got my first ever coral last sunday. They are a green/brownish Paly. My big tank has been a fowlr since April... I am just now finally getting into Corals!

LOL, that is hilarious! Your tank looks amazing!

Thanks IA, I guess I am my harshest critic . Somedays everything seems clear , all the corals are open and vibrant and taking pictures goes real easy. Then Somedays everything seems like a struggle to get in focus, corals staying closed or being irritated by CUC's,deleting photos cause you can't get the perfect pic. I had one of those days that I believe everybody goes thru once in a while. Very frustrating . LoL

thats not zooanthellae, that zoa is excreeting waste

your tank is very inspiring, i have a 150 dd ordered for part of my massive build... it was origionally going to be a nps tank (actually part of my biological filtration system) but i may have to switch that to a zoa tank.... just wonderful... the progression has been nothing short of amazing

These, the Red skirts glow like no other. The red makes the blue pop out even more. Once again , under actinic lighting it is hard to capture the color.

Forgot to add these. The nightmares have closed up on me for long periods of time but when they open up they are spectacular . Since changing to MB7 and Vodka ( approx 2 weeks) the tank looks clearer and the zoas and paly's seem to look more vibrant and outstretched .
