how do i disassemble my psk2500 volute

Im wondering: how do i disassemble my psk2500? more specifically the volute. It seems it can be opened up, but i cant tell whether its unsnaps or untwists? it it put together very tightly, and i certainly dont want to break anything. any help is greatly appreciated.
