skimmer making bubbles like crazy in tank

Every water change I take out my skimmer from the sump (marineland 100) and clean it and then it sends bubbles into my tank for hours afterward. I really dont like this particular skimmer but dont have alot of choice, sump is only 10g, in a 54 corner stand. Why does it do this?

well, the obvious next question is, why don't you stop taking it out?? Just turn it off and take the water from the DT. Replace water and turn pump on, wait a bit then turn skimmer on.

sooo... no one ever cleans their skimmer?

You clean the skimmer cup. My skimmer gets cleaned once or twice a year. The cup gets cleaned every 2 weeks or so.
