Can a Pistol shrimp and Brittle Star get along

I have a pistol shrimp-goby pair in my 70 FOWLR tank, I have a green brittle star in my 14 Bio-Cube. My question is can a Brittle star and a Pistol shrimp be in the same tank. My brittle star has started going into the filter grates on the back of the 14 GAL BC.

I have had a large brittle star and a shrimp-goby pair in my 75 mixed reef for the last 8 months with absolutely no problem whatsoever

Well I decided to go ahead and try them together. Big mistake my Green Brittle Star is minus half a leg now and back in my 14 BC. I put the Brittle Star in with the shrimp (Tiger Pistol Shrimp) they seemed ok, I came back to check on them about 20 min. later and the shrimp was eating a leg, and the star was hiding under a rock so I mover a few rocks and got him out. I think I read some where that there legs will grow back I hope so poor little guy.
