Can anyone help me I bought a Cabbage Leather a while back and it started with a little hole in the middle which grew into something major I kinda thought it was just getting used to the water but it's really eatin away at it, any suggestions on what to do?

How is the temp in your tank? When I moved my tank, I forgot to look at the temp of the new tank and all my leathers died because is was to high.

I had a kenya tree and some mushrooms die when i was moving tanks around because water was fridgid. Too hot will probably do the same thing.

My tanks are 75 degrees year round and my leathers thrive. If your tank is up around or over 80 that could be the problem.

If the tissue is falling apart and "rotting" cut away the bad tissue and a little healthy tissue with it using a clean razor blade, then dip in a coral dip for 15 minutes. You can even apply a bit of the dip directly to the cut or injured area for a minute, and then dip normally.

Give the leather Moderate flow to help keep the area free of slime.

Leathers are very hardy and adaptable, but temp should be kept stable, I've kept them anywhere between 74-82 degrees, as long as it doesn't fluctuate, they should be fine. Also make sure it is getting decent water movement. I think many people underestimate the amount of flow leathers like.
