Do you know of any way to remove paint from acrylic without sanding it I'm trying to remove it from the back of my 10' long tank thank you for any ideas you may have

That might be pretty hard, but all I can think of is getting a solvent (water, alcohol, etc) into the interface between the two and making it come off that way. Be sure to test any solvents on the acrylic first to be sure it won't craze or cloud it.

You're welcome.

Good luck and let us know if you find something that works. :)

Goof off works great, I don't know how it would affect acrylic, but worth a try. Just beware, it smells really bad.

Good Luck

I could be wrong, but I think that goof-off is predominantly dimethyl benzene. I don't doubt that it would work on the paint but I would be concerned about its effect on the acrylic. If you have access, I would try a milder solvent, methanol or ethanol perhaps.
