can i use spray paint to paint the inside of my overflow, or will the paint hurt my water quality?

Krylon Fusion is what I used for my return plumbing. I let it dry for about a week just to be safe.

I used the fusion for the back of my tank, but I wouldn't let the paint touch the water. But that's just me

What kind of overflow, and why paint it?

I've used Krylon Fusion on my elbows as mentioned above (just to hide them against my black background), but it is debated, and everyone has their own opinion.

If you do you it, you need to let it dry for at least 1 week to "gas out".

its a h.o.b. acrylic. the back of my tank is black and i want it to blend in, and i dont want algee to grow in it
