I've read people using ROX carbon and Phosphate Remover from Bulk Reef Supply on it. I'm also thinking of getting one and primarily using it for carbon.

You can use any media that needs to be fluidized, ie. Carbon, Phosphate Resin/GFO, de-nitrate, ammonia lock, cuprisorb, etc..

Pick what you need to address, and I'm sure there is a media for it. I run two reactors 24/7, one with activated carbon, the other with phosphate removal resin.

You can even grow things in it. After my need for GFO when down so a bag in the sump is plenty good enough. My reactor became a refugium for my nano. Set it next to a CFL behind my BioCube 14 and a crop of cheato is growing in there very nicely.

I run Reef Carbon and RowaFos in my two reactors.

I run phosgaurd by sea chem. It browns when it expires so you know when to replace it.
