Yesterday I was bitten by My Crosshatch Triggerfish.
The wound is not bad as you expected.

But Be careful if you put your hand in tank. :)

My crosshatch got me on the wrist. Apparently she was having difficulty differentiating human flesh from freeze dried krill. I could count teeth for about a week. On a side note... Apparently all marine fish scatter upon high pitched screams into the tank. :-@

This is why Coralife makes those gloves for us reefers. I learned to use them when working at my LFS and tried to catch a Lionfish.
It did not go so well without the gloves.

I have a dottyback that nibbles on my arm when reaching into the tank. He bit a mole on my shoulder one night and drew blood.:lmao:

Got bit by my decent sized cow fish the other day while cleaning the tank. Scared the hell out of me since I wasn't really paying attention.

I've oft wondered what a lionfish's venom resulted in. Did you have any long lasting effects?

one of the tanks which i clean contains a 2 foot porcupine puffer who has bitten me a number of times. it's like getting your finger slammed in a door.

i had a bad reaction to it and had to go to the hospital..they had no clue what to do or what kind of fish i was talking about so i got a few shots but it lasted for a few days..i am allergic to bees, waps hornets and venom like that..it was a little scary for some time but it was my fault i was not watching waht i was doing and he stuck me good..it hurt right away i miss that fish that lion was huge and always a crowd favorite

My first CrossHatch Male bit me once good... He died a few days later... Replaced him with another, and the new male is much more mild mannered... Eats from my hands....

Wow, wish I knew what getting bit by a crosshatch was like! (meaning I owned one) Gorgeous fish! I've been bitten by my 3ft eel, that definitely was no fun!

My female Clarki actually jumped out the tank to bite me in the forehead while I was peering over the tank. Devil fish.

Hmmmm..I came across this old thread while doing a search.. When I was about 18.. (40 now..ugh) I was looking into the top of my 110 gallon and my 8inch Red Snakehead jumped out of the water and latched onto my lower lip. He held on till I smacked him off and he fell back in the tank no worse for wear while I was left bleeding all over the place. I had him for 4 years until I joined the Army and he was not really an aggresive fish. It was actually my fault as I always hand fed him and being a violent eater he decided to jump up and catch his food..only to latch onto my face.
Good times

I had a 6 ft Boa Constrictor as a pet when I was younger. He bit me one day and left a complete blue print of his teeth in my hand. Shame, he was a beautiful animal and my parents forced me to sell him after that. sorry as far, as fish go I've only been bitten by ocellaris clowns
