My LFS is hyping a sealife impact skimmer running off a mag pump. They say they are all running them on their own tanks. I had an old sealife skimmer that was junk compared to the asm g2 skimmer i upgraded to.

I was planning on getting an octopus extreme 160 for my 90 gal but have about 3 guys (one of whom isnt a store employee) who have these skimmers saying they are one of the best around at the $2-300 range.

Does anyone have any experience?

Never heard of that skimmer.......

Go with something people on here have used and have done reviews on.

Eshopps S-150
Vertex IN-180
Super Reef Octopus 2000

Sealife is a company out of Jacksonville Florida. The have a lot of sumps, refugiums and skimmers that are sold in north and central florida. Their sales may be limited to this area. You can find some of their stuff if you google them.

Thats a old school venturi/injection skimmer. Looks like any other injection skimmer. They work ok, but require larger pumps(more power).

Look at any of the skimmers I posted, they are all newer/better designs.
