I just received somericordea from a supplier and they came unattached to any substrate. Should I use a thread to tie them to a piece of base rock or should I adhere them with a gel? Thanks, Jim

I doubt the gel will work. Thread might, and I've been successful with toothpicks and mushroom corals.

Using a rubberband around the ric and a plug will work as well.

Thanks, I should have prepared (have some plugs) but I do have a lot of small pieced of coral, shells, rock etc & will select some small substrates.

What I do with mushrooms is just put them in a crevice in my lr. They attach in a few days for me.

or get a plastic clear cup and cut the bottom out so there are 2 holes on both sides. push it into the sand and put some crushed rocks on top of it. place the ric into it and it shouldnt ever move. if you want added protection, put a net over it

Great ideas and easier than tying athem to rock with string.
Thanks, Jim
