Bubble coral question..

Do they always shrivel up when the lights go out.. Mine is the size of a nickel.. But during the day it's about 3 inches wide

I have not kept bubble coral yet, but I would say that this is normal behavior. I have frogspawn that with the lights on stretches ~4" tall, but when the lights are out the tentacles retract.

This is usually normal. When the light go out, the bubbles deflate further showing the sweeper tentacles which they use to catch food with. You know you have a problem when the bubble don't inflate when the light ARE on ;)
