Date and Time reset after a power failure?

I was just curious if others have the problem that i'm having after a power outage. For some reason, whenever my tank loses power, the date and time of my APEX resets...but not always to the same date. Today it reset to 1997.....thoughts?

Your internal battery is not holding its charge. If the unit is brand new it may take a few days to charge up. If it's been plugged in longer, call Neptune. The battery probably has to be replaced, not user serviceable unfortunately.
