Hi
I need opinions of a sump/refungium. I build a sump like the double sumo concept. My Tank is getting with like red algae all the way. My fishes are dying to. What I could do.

Thanks
Herbert

Please post your water parameters.

Amm
Nitrite
Nitrate
Salinity
and if you also test for:
Alk
Cal

what type of lights are you using and how old are they?
What type of flow do you have in the tank?

PH and Nitrite both look suspect.

Is there a computer program that monitor this elements on the tank.
What you recomend.

Thanks

Outside of specialized hardware, I don't know of any computer programs that will do (what I think) you're asking.

My recommendation would be to start at this link http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2007-03/rhf/index.php and invest a few hours in Randy's insights.

How long has your tank been set up? I am assuming 6mo because that's how old your lights are. You are probably just cycling. I would just do a small 10% water change and not add anything for a couple months, with a skimmer and refugium it will go away. Take things slow in a reef tank, and when you think your going slow enough, go slower:)

A Big +1, Following Randy's advice has had a huge impact on my tanks success.

I had to read and re-read and asked plenty of questions but once I got it, it's very simple and easy to maintain.
