Eheim pumps are good and quiet.

Eheim choice here too. Quite and dont transfer much heta back to the water like Mag pumps do. Had a 1260, 1262 and still have a 1250 on a reactor running off and on for a yr and a half with no issues at all.

What gph eheim would be a good choice for the 75 return (with a 75 sump/fuge and a seperate CL system)? Sorry don't mean to high jack.

If the sump is under the stand with a 4 or 5" vertical lift then at 1260 or 1262 would do. The 1262 will be slightly overpowered but works out great if you want to run media reactors off of the return line.

I ran a 1262 on my old 90g but it also fed a chiller. If you get one and its too much flow you can T off the return and bypass some water back into the sump if needed. I would say if your not running anything else off it but just return water and have minimal turns and height to the tank a 1260 would probably do. If lots of 90 degree turns in the piping, running some media reactors or the like and lots of head pressure from long run to the tank a 1262 would be better

I would NOT recommend a mag, even though a 7 or 9 could run that no sweat.

my mag7 wouldnt really be that willing to restart after stopping sometimes. IDK what the deal is. there's only 4 blades on the impeller? w/e, even clean, i would have to smack it or raise it to get some air w/e to get it started again. other people have talked about this same thing. i noticed since i had one too. fwiw IME....

Oops, I meant a 4' or 5' vertical lift :)
