Will Refugium mud Start a cycle?

Tank has been up and running well since October and I just added a CPR Aquafuge, Would adding a refugium mud start a cycle? Maybe I should just siphon out the "carib Sea" live sand I have in the Display?

Sorry, If this is something asked time and time again, I did try a search and there's too many threads to filter through. Maybe I don't use the best keywords in my searches :(

no it shouldn't just keep your flow off till the mud settles...if you are worried just introduce it slowly.
