So I finally started putting water in my tank and went to fire up the closed loop pump only to find it leaking out of the back side by the impeller. I'm assuming this is the seal that needs replaced. I called Dolphin and they said I could send it to them to have the seal replaced and go over the pump. They would just charge me the price of the seal, which I could install the regular marine seal or the abrasive seal. He mentioned the marine seal was around 35 and the abrasive seal was like 125. Does anyone know if the abrasive seal is worth it? Also I could probably just buy the seal and do it myself but I've never done anything like that before, is it easy to do?
