Sorry, this is a double post, wasn't sure how to move it, but I wanted to post here for more feedback. anyways, I just bought a hammer on Saturday and I think I may have damaged it when I was placing it in my tank. I noticed that a couple of the polyps are dying. They are dark brown in color and look a little shriveled. The rest of the hammer seems to be healthy, fully extended and good coloring. Please let me know what you think. Here's a couple of pics.

What are your water parameters?
How did you acclimate?

You may lose the ones that are shriveled but the ones that are open will more than likely make it.

Checking water params now.

As far as acclimating, I have a milk jug that I cut the top off and use airline tubing to drip DT water into the bag prob for about 20-30 minutes or so. Is that ok to do it that way?

Sounds about right, some acclimate for a little bit longer...
