I've got 4 6055 nanostreams, I run two at a time and rotate them for cleaning. They are almost a year old but only have 6 months of running time each. I just did my rotation and while cleaning one, the metal impeller shaft came out? Can I just push it back in, or is this a problem?

Maybe, if it pulled out from calcium seizing it to the drive unit and came out when the drive unit was pulled out forcibly. It is possible it can still be pressed in and seated firmly in the base of the pump, perhaps with a couple light taps from a hammer or better yet with a press if you have one. Otherwise it should be sent in if it fits loose and cannot be inserted such that it doesn't come out without force.

It wasn't by force, I always soak in a vinegar solution for 30 min before I start cleaning and the prop unit came right out. I'll try using a vise to press it back in, since by hand it is loose.

I would just send it in, we can replace it under warranty if it cannot be repaired.

Well,

After sending my 6055 back to Tunze and Roger V, he accessed the problem and fixed it by replacing the whole unit. My new pump is happily stirring up my tank and sending the fish on fun rides when they pass in front of the pumps stream.

My hat is off to you Roger for the wonderful customer service you provide!
