I bought a used acjr and dc8 about 10 months ago. i have been using the acjr but never got around to setting up the dc8 until now. Unfortunetly now that it is set up it is not working, if I try to to contol any of the outlets manually nothing happens. the led on the dc8 is working, but i can't seem to control

Also I have it set to use A01 TO A08, therefore, all 4 switchs are off(up).

thank you,

Pat

I assume you have programmed timers for the addresses you added; you can't control a timer until you have added a statement for the address in question?

You mention the LEDs are working; does that mean they flash every so often? Flashing indicates that the DC8 is decoding valid communications on the control wire (not that the commands are for it but only that the connection is working).

thanks for the reply.

I did program the timers. so far i have only noticed a solid green light.

Also, i forgot to mention before that when i first pluged in the dc8 it made noise.

thanks,

Pat

You mention that you also have a DC8; have you verified that you do not have any address overlaps? Everything must be using a separate address without any overlaps or all bets are off as to what will happen.

hi ken,

I have another question for you, now everything works if I manually turn it on, but if I put it to auto then the devise associated to that location goes off even though it should still be on.

thanks,

Pat

What device do you have plugged in and to what port?
Sometimes if its a real low draw device, the plug cant "see it." There's not enough current to turn it on/off.

I have the my lights pluged in to 1-2-3-6, as soon as I put it to auto mode the lights will go off for some reason.

Can you post your program?

just figured out the problem, i had the clock set wrong I had it as 7:30 instead of 19:30. Now that I changed it it is working fine.
