How long do I let Kalkwasser set before I can let it drip

I have just begun to use a Kalk mix that I will drip into my system. My questions are : Is one teaspoon to one gallon of RO enough mix to start out with ? How long should I let the mix sit before I actually start the drip ? Oh... are there any specific tests that I should do to the 1 gallon of kalk mix ? Thanks

That is a fine starting dose. Sitting overnight is plenty for the largest solids to settle out. :)

No need to test the limewater itself, just watch tank pH and alkalinity.

Thank you Randy. I do have low pH and low alk. Will the kalkwasser possibly help both? ph 7.8
alk 7.5 both at mid day.
