i have a hammer coral about 7-8 head and it is setting below a zoanthid colony and i walked in and one of the hammers tenticles longer than normal was attached to a polyp of zoa and all the ones around it were closed so i took and knocked it off my question is its been about 30min and there all still closed up did it hurt them? should i move it its never dont that before? thanks for any info

coral warfare is great... if u dont want it to harm your zoas, move it a little bit.... these sweepers can get really long though

the zoas are starting to open up a little ya i have never seen them this long before its cool to watch though

Sounds like you got lucky and caught it in time. I have seen sweeper tentacales roughly 20 inched long. I would keep the area around it clear if I were you.

If it is in a spot that you like don't . Just make sure there is nothing within the vicinity that it can harm.
