Are you using the sodium carbon version of alk supplement to dose with? It can do this. Make sure it is completely dissolved before you dose it. It some cases you will need to heat the water to get it to dissolve. Dosing it in a high flow area will help.

Randy goes into details regarding this problem in the following article:

What is that Precipitate in My Reef Aquarium?

From that article, this is normal:

Figure 3. The transient cloud of magnesium hydroxide that forms when high pH additives are added. In this case, the alkalinity portion of B-ionic was added to a fairly still portion of one of my reef aquaria.

soda ash from Bulk reef I can take it out of the jug and pour it and it clouds up like normal but coming from the pump it does it? it kind of looks like that but in small clumps I guess because it is dripping? so will it be fine?

Should be ok as long as the clumps do not land on coral, which may irritate them.

it is not dripping into my main tank that drains to my sump.

The only thing you may get would be some calcium carbonate forming in the bottom of your sump due to the possible high localized pH which is conducive to precipitants forming. Usually if your flow is good enough, this will not occur.
