I mix my water in the basement, and my tank is upstairs on the first floor.
I'm too old and tired, to keep hauling buckets, up and down stairs!

Does anyone have or can suggest, an inexpensive pump for my use?
if yes - please help me out...
NOTE: it MUST be capable of about a 8' - 10' lift.
GPH flow is unimportant - as long as it can pump from the basement to upstairs.

Also looking for a few scrap pieces of egg crates.

Hopefully someone near the Bridgeport area

Oh Man. I cant believe you are hauling buckets up stairs. That is brutal. Yrs ago I converted my old 'python' hose system that I used to hook up to the faucet to start the syphone in fresh water tanks -- converted it with a hose quick-connect to a mag drive pump. I use that pump and that small bit of hose connected to the output in the 30g brute to mix the slat water, then use the quick connect to attatch to the python to either pump the water out of the tank, or vice-versa from the brute into the the tank. very simple. used mag drive pumps all over the used selling forum in rc. the mag drive 7 has max head (ft) of 12, the md9.5 of 14. Or talk to scolly he has a very cool auto water change system he devised.

Seth,

Thank you very much for the suggestion.
Finally - someone who understands my pain :lolspin:

Of all makers - they are made by the Danner company in L.I.
I still own Danner SuperKing freshwater filters from at late 70's.
Back then rated at 600 GPH, and I really believe they can do it...
Their pumps are damn near indestructible!

Now to find the best deal a model 7 or 9.5
eBay here I come
Thanks again for the great help...
