How long do you run the flush valve open?

I have the 4 stage 75gph unit and I was wondering how often and how long I should run the flush valve?

If you were in a lab situation, you might flush the system for about 30-60 seconds everytime you turned it off. That's not practical for most people, so once a week is better than once a month.
