mag not raising?

i took a break from dosing for 6 months and my last test showed cal at 260 and mag at 1000. i added the amount shown on randys calc to bring everything back up cal is now at 380 but my mag is only at 1050. i added 160 ounces for 175 gallons. is this a test error or is the mag bonding with the calcium or something. also my alk is sitting at 9.6 i didn't have to add anything that was always normal

Which mag supplement did you use? If you used Randy's Do it your self mix correctly, then you have a problem with your mag. kit.

tagging along on this one, I've been unable to get my MG over 1200

it was brs 2 part and was mixed correct.

I'd take a sample to a lfs to get a second opinion on your mag level. ;)

cool just wanted to make sure the mag wouldn't bond with the calcium or something since all my levels were so low for so long
